Mahindra & Mahindra (M & M) has registered 22% growth in domestic tractor sales at 19,757 units in November 2012, compared with 16,175 units sold during the same month a year ago. The company’s total tractor sales (domestic and exports) were up by 17% during the month under review to 20,476 units (17,527 units in November 2011). The company, which manufactures and sells tractors through its farm equipment sector unit, exported 719 units during the month under review.
India’s leading SUV manufacturer has reported an 18% rise in auto sales number for November 2012 at 48143 units, as against 40722 units during November 2011. The company's domestic sales soared by 23% at 46755 units during November 2012 against 38159 units the same month previous year.
The company’s passenger vehicles also registered 38% growth at 24604 units in November 2012, compared to 17813 units during November 2011. Its 4-wheeler commercial segment which includes the passenger and load categories registered a growth of 7% growth at 14353 units. Exports for the month of November 2012 stood at 1388 units.
