Shoppers Stop is likely to provide a ‘shopping' option on its Facebook page in coming three months. On offer - with a payment gateway - will be the bestsellers from the chain's retail outlets. The move is aligned with the brand's approach to route its social media traffic to sales - online and offline.
The company will not be able to offer all the brands on the page, but it will offer a limited series of bestsellers. Shoppers Stop has the largest number of Facebook fans among retail brands in India that is about 1.45 million, which makes its Facebook fan base the eighth largest among clothing and apparel stores globally, and 18th largest among department stores.
Recently, Shoppers Stop has opened one ‘HomeStop’ store at Inorbit, Pune. With the opening of this store, the company has now seven HomeStop stores under its operation. Recently, the company had opened one HomeStop store at Vijayawada.
