Indian Hotels Company has acquired balance 14.28% Equity Stake in ELEL Hotels and Investments (ELEL), ELEL. (holding the leasehold rights of the erstwhile Sea Rock hotel). With this ELEL Hotels and Investments has become a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of the Company effective December 28, 2021.
Earlier, in July 2020 the company had inked pact to acquire the remaining 14.28% stake in ELEL Hotels and Investment from the Nanda family.
Indian Hotels Company and its subsidiaries are collectively known as Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces and recognized as one of Asia's largest and finest hotel company. It operates in the luxury, premium, midmarket and value segments of the market.
