Sezal Glass has received an approval for sale of Company's Float Glass manufacturing undertaking on Slump Sale basis to prospective buyers for a lump-sum consideration on terms and conditions to be agreed between the parties. The company has received an approval for sale at its board meeting held on May 27, 2011.
Further, the sale of the undertaking by the company is subject to the approval of the shareholders by postal ballot, results of which will be announced on May 30, 2011.
Earlier in January, Sezal glass was planning to invest Rs 750 crore to achieve expansion of production capacity in the next two years and a turnover of Rs 1000 crore by 2014. As per the plan, the company would be expanding their Jhagadia (Gujarat) plant for which they are investing Rs 750 crore and nearly two years would be taken for the capacity expansion.
