Sadbhav Engineering’s JV emerges as successful bidder for project worth Rs 737.20 crore

Sadbhav Engineering’s joint venture (JV) known as ‘Sadbhav-GKC’ has been declared as the successful bidder for the bid invited by Karnataka State Highways Improvement Project (KSHIP) (Public Works, Ports & Inland Water Transport Department), Government of Karnataka.

The Karnataka Government has invited bids with an estimated cost of about Rs 737.20 crore for Design, Build, Finance, Operate, Maintain & Transfer (DBFOMT) the Existing State Highway (SH33 & SH3) from Malavalli to Pavagada (which is approximately of length of about 193.344 kilometer) on DBFOMT basis in the Karnataka State. The concession period is for ten years including construction period of 30 months from the appointed date.

Further, as per draft concession agreement, the consortium is eligible to get fixed grant of Rs 239.21 crore from World Bank through KSHIP. The consortium has quoted semi-annual annuity of Rs 71.10 crore to be received from commercial operation date till end of concession.

Sadbhav Engineering (SEL) is one of the largest BOT developers in the road sector in India with good project execution skills. SEL operates in the four distinct business areas in the infrastructure sector viz. BOT road projects, cash contract-based road projects, irrigation projects and mining.
