Jindal Steel to start coal dispatch from Mozambique mine early next year

Jindal Steel and Power (JSPL) is planning to start supplying coal from its Mozambique mine early next year. The company which had been scouting for mines in Mozambique five to six years ago have started mining and now seems to be in position for dispatching coal. Further, the company, which has got coal mining licences in Australia and has acquired mines in South Africa, Mozambique and Botswana, is vying to acquire more coal mines in South Africa and Mozambique.

Uptill now, the company has acquired diamond exploration licences in Congo, coal mining rights in South Africa, Mozambique and Australia, limestone exploration in Madagascar along with copper mining rights in Zambia and Tanzania, among others.

JSPL forms a part of Jindal Group and is a leading player in Steel, Power, Mining, Oil & Gas and Infrastructure. The company produces economical and efficient steel and power through backward integration from its own captive coal and iron-ore mines and passes on the benefits to its customers.
