Berger Paints eyes Rs 7,000 crore revenue in four years

Berger Paints on the back of new concepts and products is eyeing to grow 20% year-on-year basis in order to double its revenue from Rs 3,300-3,500 crore to Rs 7,000 crore in the next four years. The company is also planning to enhance its production capacity to 34,000 tonne per month from 20,000 tonne a month by mid-2013.

Besides, the company is also setting up an industrial paints facility near Pune entailing a cost of Rs 15-20 crore. The company is also planning brownfield expansion at Rishra in West Bengal, Goa and greenfield expansion in Andhra Pradesh. Berger has production facilities in both Russia and Poland. The company is currently exporting to Russia and would be exporting some solvent-based paints to Poland.

The company has also entered into an association with designer Sussanne Roshan, wife of actor Hrithik Roshan, for Lewis Berger Design Stories concept. The company will have 40 studios inside existing stores across the city to showcase the concept that aims to offer designer themes in paints long with furnishing and furniture. Under the arrangement, Berger will get commission for non-paint products booked through Berger stores.

Berger Paints is the third largest paint manufacturer and second largest manufacturer in decorative paints. It’s headquarter is located in Kolkata, it has distribution network of 75 stock points and 12,000 paint retailers. The company’s manufacturing facilities is located in West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Pondicherry, Goa, and Jammu and Kashmir.
