Tata Chemicals slips despite reporting 74% rise in Q3 consolidated net profit

Tata Chemicals is currently trading at Rs. 891.50, down by 22.85 points or 2.50% from its previous closing of Rs. 914.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 910.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 910.00 and Rs. 883.00 respectively. So far 86573 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1158.00 on 18-Oct-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 555.00 on 12-Feb-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 980.00 and Rs. 883.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 22953.54 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 37.98%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 32.31% and 29.71% respectively.

Tata Chemicals has reported a rise of 34.64% in its net profit at Rs 155.70 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 115.64 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 14.64% at Rs 960.84 crore for Q3FY22 as compared Rs 838.13 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a rise of 74.05% in its net profit at Rs 349.35 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 200.72 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 20.08% at Rs 3,180.66 crore for Q3FY22 as compared Rs 2,648.78 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
