BGR Energy Systems soars on bagging order worth Rs 1548 crore

BGR Energy Systems is currently trading at Rs. 274.60, up by 11.50 points or 4.37% from its previous closing of Rs. 263.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 269.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 280.00 and Rs. 268.30 respectively. So far 1, 32,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 373.90 on 01-Mar-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 172.55 on 02-Jan-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 267.00 and Rs. 257.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1,981 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 81.13% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 3.35% and 15.52% respectively.

BGR Energy Systems has received the notification of award for steam turbine and Generators for NTPC’s Lara 2x800 MW super Thermal Power Project in state of Chhattisgarh.

BGR Energy Systems is engaged in supplying of systems and equipment and contracting turnkey engineering project. The company started as a joint venture between GEA Energietechnik GmbH, Germany and the promoter B G Raghupathy in order to produce and sell on-line condenser tube cleaning systems, debris filters and rubber cleaning balls used in thermal and nuclear power plants.
