Persistent Systems, Wipro and Ugro Capital to see some action today

Persistent Systems has announced the acquisition of Princeton, New Jersey-based MediaAgility, a global cloud transformation services provider with expertise building scalable, cloud-based solutions as a Google Cloud Premier Partner for a consideration of $71.71 million (around Rs 545 crore). The company provides cloud-native application development and modernisation, analytics and AI, cloud engineering, migrations, and managed services to its’ over 35 enterprise service clients across the globe.

Speira, a leading global aluminium rolling and recycling company, has chosen Wipro as their technology partner. Speira was formed in 2021 when Norsk Hydro Group entered into an agreement to sell its Rolling business to KPS Capital Partners. Speira operates seven manufacturing facilities and an R&D center across Germany and Norway. Over the next five years, Wipro will work to strengthen the technology infrastructure and cybersecurity requirements of Speira as it embarks on a journey guided by a three-pronged focus centered on sustainability, innovation, and new product development.

Ugro Capital has received approval for the issuance of 100 Rated, Unlisted, Senior, Unsecured, Redeemable, Taxable, Non-convertible Debentures (NCDs) each bearing a face value of Rs 10,00,000 aggregating up to Rs 10 crore, for cash, at par, in dematerialised form, on a private placement basis. The Investment and Borrowing Committee of the Board of Directors of the Company (Committee) at its meeting held on March 14, 2022 has inter alia approved the same.

SpiceJet is planning to launch 60 new domestic flights this summer. The summer schedule starts from March 27, 2022 and ends on October 29, 2022. It will launch eight industry-first flights, which will operate on the Gorakhpur-Kanpur, Gorakhpur Varanasi, Jaipur-Dharamshala and Tirupati-Shirdi sectors, in the summer schedule. The airline has added 60 new domestic flights to its schedule, including seven UDAN flights, eight industry-first flights, new connections and additional frequencies.

Clean Science and Technology has received approval from its board for incorporation of wholly owned subsidiary of the company. The proposed wholly owned subsidiary once formed, would enter into an agreement for assignment of lease to acquire at Pune, admeasuring 1,32,687,50 Sq. Mtr. from Shree Samrat Pulp and Paper, subject to obtaining various approvals and permissions from the concerned authorities including MIDC. Total investment in the proposed WOS would be upto Rs 200 crore which will be made in tranches.
