SpiceJet moves up on planning to launch 60 new domestic flights this summer

SpiceJet is currently trading at Rs. 60.55, up by 0.55 points or 0.92% from its previous closing of Rs. 60.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 60.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 61.00 and Rs. 60.10 respectively. So far 57455 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 87.25 on 24-Nov-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 53.30 on 07-Mar-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 62.70 and Rs. 59.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3610.78 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 59.46%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 1.96% and 38.59% respectively.

SpiceJet is planning to launch 60 new domestic flights this summer. The summer schedule starts from March 27, 2022 and ends on October 29, 2022. It will launch eight industry-first flights, which will operate on the Gorakhpur-Kanpur, Gorakhpur Varanasi, Jaipur-Dharamshala and Tirupati-Shirdi sectors, in the summer schedule. The airline has added 60 new domestic flights to its schedule, including seven UDAN flights, eight industry-first flights, new connections and additional frequencies.

Under the UDAN scheme, financial incentives from the Centre, state governments and airport operators are extended to selected airlines to encourage operations from unserved and underserved airports, and keep airfares affordable.

SpiceJet is among the first private companies that stepped into the Indian aviation sector.
