Jaypee Infratech slips as Sebi slaps fine for disclosure lapses

Jaypee Infratech is currently trading at Rs. 3.22, down by 0.02 points or 0.62% from its previous closing of Rs. 3.24 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 3.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 3.30 and Rs. 3.16 respectively. So far 469617 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 5.05 on 12-Jan-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1.38 on 23-Apr-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 3.48 and Rs. 3.06 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 448.63 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 60.98%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 3.41% and 35.61% respectively.

Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has slapped Rs 7 lakh fine on Jaypee Infratech for disclosure lapses. The company did not make disclosures with regard to series of non-convertible debt (NCD) securities issued and listed by it, as required under market norms. Besides, it failed to inform BSE of the default in payment of interest/principal in respect of various series of NCDs, apart from other disclosure lapses.

Jaypee Infratech is diversified infrastructure conglomerate with business interests in Engineering & Construction, Power, Cement, Real Estate, Hospitality, Expressways, Sports & Education (not-for-profit).
