Hero MotoCorp falls after Income Tax Department raids premises of company

Hero MotoCorp is currently trading at Rs. 2389.30, down by 32.00 points or 1.32% from its previous closing of Rs. 2421.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2433.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2439.70 and Rs. 2328.85 respectively. So far 46172 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3131.95 on 23-Mar-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2148.00 on 08-Mar-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2448.00 and Rs. 2328.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 47370.42 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.75%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 53.26% and 11.99% respectively.

The Income Tax Department is conducting raids on multiple premises of Hero MotoCorp as part of a tax evasion investigation against the country's largest two-wheeler automobile manufacturer. Offices and residential premises of the promoters including chairman and CEO of the group Pawan Munjal in Gurugram, Haryana, Delhi and few other locations are being covered under the raid.

A team of officials of the department are looking at financial documents and other business transactions of the company and its promoters.

Hero MotoCorp is the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters.
