EPL moves up on getting nod to incorporate wholly-owned subsidiary in Brazil

EPL is currently trading at Rs. 182.85, up by 1.45 points or 0.80% from its previous closing of Rs. 181.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 183.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 183.85 and Rs. 180.05 respectively. So far 9438 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 294.00 on 05-Jul-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 148.95 on 07-Mar-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 184.00 and Rs. 153.65 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5729.89 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.91%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 29.02% and 19.07% respectively.

EPL has received approval to incorporate wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company in Brazil. The objective of the formation of a subsidiary in Brazil is to set up a greenfield project for the packaging tube business, which will help to leverage the growth opportunities in the attractive, fast-growing market and will also help the Company to become more agile and customer focused.  The Board of the Company in their meeting held on March 29, 2022 has approved the same.

EPL (Formerly Known as Essel Propack) operates as a specialty packaging company. The company offers products such as laminated tubes, plastic tubes, and caps and closures.
