SBI reports 37% rise in Q4 consolidated net profit

State Bank of India (SBI) has reported results for fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2022.

The bank has reported a rise of 41.28% in its net profit at Rs 9,113.53 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 6,450.75 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank increased marginally by 1.58% at Rs 82,613.40 crore for Q4FY22 as compared Rs 81,326.96 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the bank has reported a rise of 37.46% in its net profit at Rs 9,993.76 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 7,270.25 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 4.45% at Rs 108,034.68 crore for Q4FY22 as compared Rs 103,430.64 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2022, the bank has reported a rise of 55.19% in its net profit at Rs 31,675.98 crore as compared to Rs 20,410.47 crore for the previous year. Total income of the bank increased marginally by 2.90% at Rs 316,021.20 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 307,107.27 crore for year ended March 31, 2021.

For the year ended March 31, 2022, on the consolidated basis, the bank has reported a rise of 49.74% in its net profit at Rs 36,356.17 crore as compared to Rs 24,279.71 crore for the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 5.99% at Rs 406,973.09 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 383,970.62 crore for year ended March 31, 2021.
