Tata Power jumps as its arm bags 300MW solar project worth Rs 1731 crore from NHPC

Tata Power Company is currently trading at Rs. 225.20, up by 2.35 points or 1.05% from its previous closing of Rs. 222.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 225.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 227.00 and Rs. 220.35 respectively. So far 1201362 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 298.00 on 07-Apr-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 101.05 on 14-May-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 236.75 and Rs. 217.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 72150.77 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 46.86%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 27.03% and 26.11% respectively.

Tata Power Company’s wholly owned subsidiary--Tata Power Solar Systems has bagged an order of 300MW Solar project worth Rs 1,731 crore, inclusive of tax from NHPC.

The project site, located in Rajasthan, will be developed under the CPSU scheme of IREDA. The project will be completed within 18 months’ time period, aims to reduce around 6,36,960 carbon emissions, and is expected to generate approximately 750 million units annually. Cells and modules made in India would be used in the project installation.

Tata Power Solar has always been a pioneer in implementing and commissioning such large-scale solar and renewable projects. With this win, the company's pending order book reaches Rs 13,500 crore and the total utility-scale solar project portfolio touches 9.7GWp.
