State Bank of Travancore (SBT), an associate bank of State Bank of India, has decided to concentrate on enhancing its exposure in retail and micro, small and medium enterprises (SME) sectors. It has already established loan processing centers in nine places across the country, to increase exposure in SME sector.
The bank is also planning to open 46 branches in the next three months, taking its total to 1,000 by the end of the current financial year and majority of them will be outside Kerala. It is also in the working on placing its regional offices in various cities such as Hyderabad and Madurai; and a zonal office in Bangalore.
