Indraprastha Gas has reportedly raised the CNG (compressed natural gas) price by 4% due to increase in overall input cost of natural gas. The company has hiked the fuel’s price by Rs 1.55 per kg in Delhi and Rs 1.80 a kg in the satellite townships of Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad.
Meanwhile, in order to bridge shortfall in domestic supplies in the wake of drop in output from Reliance Industries' Andhra offshore field, the company has been selling more imported gas, which costs about three times more than domestic gas.
Indraprastha’s core business is to distribute CNG and PNG in Delhi. It has presence in areas including Sarita Vihar, Jasola, Dwarka, Rohini, Pitampura, Janakpuri, Maya Enclave, Saket, Hauz Khas, Paschim Vihar, Vikaspuri, Dilshad Garden and many more.
