Reliance Power trades with traction on the bourses

Reliance Power is currently trading at Rs. 97.05, up by 1.15 points or 1.20% from its previous closing of Rs. 95.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 96.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 97.30 and Rs. 96.10 respectively. So far 800925 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 139.40 on 06-Mar-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 69.80 on 06-Jan-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 97.30 and Rs. 93.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 27237.78 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 80.42% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 6.87% and 12.68% respectively. 

Reliance Power’s 4000 MW project at Sasan in Madhya Pradesh has commissioned a 765 Kv switchyard. The switchyard is a modern power evacuation system that cuts losses while ensuring high capacity power transmission. 

The entity has commissioned a 400 Kv switchyard last September to draw start-up power for the first of the six 660 MW units. This 400 Kv yard will be in reserve and all evacuation from the plant will be done by the 765 Kv yard. It will supply the power generated at this plant through six transmission lines to Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand.
