Godrej Industries, Ashok Leyland and SpiceJet to see some action today

Godrej Industries has made further investment in Godrej Capital, its subsidiary on June 2, 2022. Consequently, the Company now holds 91.81% of the total paid up share capital of Godrej Capital.

Ashok Leyland has launched the industry first 8 wheeler truck - AVTR 2620. With this launch of AVTR 2620, Ashok Leyland becomes the first and only player in the country to have a full range of trucks based on lift axle technology from GVW of 25.5 to 47.5T. This new product can be operated as 25.5 T (6×2) truck with the lift axle down (offering payload closer to regular 6×2 MAV truck) and a 4×2 truck (18.5T GVW) with lift axle up ((lower fuel and operating cost similar to 4×2) during light load/partial load/return empty.

SpiceJet is planning to operate 37 special flights between India and Saudi Arabia till July 31, 2022 for Indian Haj pilgrims who will visit Islamic pilgrimage sites in Mecca and Medina. The special flights from Srinagar will depart for Medina between June 5, 2022 and June 20, 2022. Return flights from Jeddah to Srinagar are scheduled from July 15, 2022 to July 31, 2022.

NTPC is targeting 26 million tonnes (MT) of captive coal production in the current fiscal, with focus on such mines situated mostly in Jharkhand. NTPC had produced 14 MT of coal from its captive mines last year. In the current fiscal, it is targeting a coal output of 15 MT from Pakhri Barwadis, 7 MT from Dulanga, 2 MT from Chatti Bariatu and 2 MT from Talaipalli mines.
