Hero MotoCorp, Century Plyboards and IIFL Finance to see some action today

Hero MotoCorp is all set to make an upward revision in the ex-showroom prices of its motorcycles and scooters, with effect from July 1, 2022. The price revision will be up to Rs 3000. The exact quantum of increase will be subject to the specific model and market. The price revision has been necessitated to partially offset the steadily growing overall cost inflation, including commodity prices.

Century Plyboards (India) has made further investments to the extent of Rs 20.95 crore in its wholly owned subsidiary company, Century Panels (CPL), by way of subscription to 2,09,50,000 fully paid up equity shares of face value Rs 10 each through Rights issue. The company has made investments to meet the capex and working capital requirements of CPL for its ongoing project.

IIFL Finance’s board has approved the raising of funds by way of issuance of secured redeemable non-convertible debentures (NCDs) with the shelf limit of Rs 5,000 crore, in one or more tranches. The board of directors of the company at their meeting held on June 23, 2022, has approved the same.

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has stepped into Manali, Himachal Pradesh with the signing of a new SeleQtions hotel. Located at Kullu-Manali Marg, the current Baragarh Resort & Spa will be converted to an IHCL SeleQtions resort post upgradation. The resort is a management contract with the Khullar’s. With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have three hotels across brands in Himachal Pradesh, including two under development.

ICICI Bank has launched a digital platform to address the needs of the students aspiring to pursue higher education in India and abroad. Called ‘Campus Power’, the one-stop platform caters to varied needs of the entire student ecosystem comprising students, parents and institutes. It offers both banking and value-added solutions at one place, eliminating the need for the student ecosystem to contact with multiple stakeholders. It is available for anyone including customers of other banks.

Bharti Airtel’s subsidiary -- Bharti Airtel International (Netherlands) B.V. has issued a tender offer to buy back up to $300 million (about Rs 2,348 crore) of senior notes. The company's tender offer to purchase $300 million worth of its 5.35 per cent guaranteed senior notes of $1 billion due 2024 has commenced from June 21 and will expire on July 19, 2022. The purpose of the tender offer is to optimize its balance sheet and reduce debt.

Max Financial Services’ subsidiary company -- Max Life Insurance Company has unveiled a new non-linked, non-participating, individual life insurance savings plan ‘Max Life Smart Fixed-return Digital Plan’, which offers guaranteed tax-free returns up to 6.14% along with life cover protection. The plan can be buy at monthly premiums as low as Rs 3000.
