Asian markets trade mostly higher in early deals on Tuesday

Most of the Asian markets traded higher in early deals on Tuesday, as the market sentiments got whetted followed by the news that US president Joe Biden plans to trim tariffs on goods from China. Moreover, reports on constructive talks between Chinese vice premier Liu He and US Treasury secretary Janet Yellen also spurred optimism. Additionally, technical buying by participants at prevailing rates also pushed investments higher. As per reports, Asian index has fallen about 16% this year amid fears over global economic down turn. Japanese shares extended previous session’s gains after service activity of the country showcased a 8 year peak level.

Nikkei 225 up by 191.42 points or 0.73% to 26,345.23, Hang Seng rose by 125.37 points 0.57% to 21,955.72, Taiwan higher by 14.93 points or 0.11% to 14,231.99, KOSPI lifted by 30.18 points or 1.31 % to 2,330.52, Jakarta Composite added by 97.83 points or 1.47% to 6,737.00 and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI enlarged by 1.09 points or 0.08% to 1,438.61.

Bucking the trend, Straights times down 16.63 points or 0.53% to 3,103.61, Shanghai shrunk by 6.45 points or 0.19% to 3,398.98.
