Canara Bank raises Rs 2000 crore through bonds

Canara Bank has successfully raised Rs 2000 crore through the allotment of Non-Convertible, Perpetual, Taxable, Subordinated, Fully Paid Up, Unsecured, Basel III Compliant Additional Tier I Bonds 2022-23 Series I. The bank came out with issuance of Rs 2000 crore of Additional Tier I bonds on July 15, 2022.The bank received total bid amount of Rs 5719 crore, out of which full issuance of Rs 2000 crore was accepted at 8.24%. 

Canara Bank is an Indian state-owned bank headquartered in Bangalore, in Karnataka. It was established at Mangalore in 1906, making it one of the oldest banks in the country.
