HDFC Bank reports 30% surge in Q3 net profit

HDFC Bank has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2012.

The bank has reported 30.04% rise in its net profit at Rs 1859.07 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 1429.66 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank has increased by 21.85% at Rs 10506.51 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 8622.64 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011.

The bank’s gross NPA for the December 31, 2012 quarter of the current fiscal stood at 1.00%, as compared to 1.03% in the same quarter of the previous year. Besides, bank’s Net NPA remained unchanged at 0.20% in the quarter under review.
