Kansai Nerolac declines on reporting 7% fall in Q3 net profit

Kansai Nerolac Paints is currently trading at Rs. 1070.20, down by 19.45 points or 1.78% from its previous closing of Rs. 1089.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1065.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1075.95 and Rs. 1062.05 respectively. So far 983 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1139.90 on 26-Dec-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 852.10 on 24-Jan-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1120.00 and Rs. 1056.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5767.52 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 69.27 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 12.41 % and 18.32 % respectively.

Kansai Nerolac Paints has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2012.

The company has registered a fall of 7.21% in its net profit at Rs 48.90 crore in Q3FY13 as compared to Rs 52.70 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year. However, the total income from operation of the company has increased by 15.16% to Rs 766.60 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 665.70 crore in the same quarter last year.

Kansai Nerolac Paints is engaged in the industrial, automotive and powder coating business. Kansai Nerolac is the second largest paint manufacturer in India and has a presence in decorative and industrial paints. The company’s brands include Impressions, Beauty, Excel and Surakhsa.
