Balaji Amines surges on completing Phase 1 of Greenfield Project

Balaji Amines is currently trading at Rs. 3777.00, up by 96.85 points or 2.63% from its previous closing of Rs. 3680.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 3750.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 3841.85 and Rs. 3750.00 respectively. So far 18243 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 5220.00 on 15-Sep-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2680.05 on 07-Mar-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 3841.85 and Rs. 3576.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 12379.29 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 53.70%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 4.69% and 41.61% respectively.

Balaji Amines has completed Phase 1 of Greenfield Project (Unit IV) and the Di-methyl Carbonate (DMC)/Propylene Carbonate (PC) and PG Plant will be ready to commence commercial production by the end of September 2022. This is estimated to result in annual production capacity of 15,000 tons of DMC/ PC and 15,000 tons Propylene Glycol (PG). This will also provide a strategic advantage of being the sole manufacturer of Di-methyl Carbonate (DMC) and Propylene Carbonate (PC) in India. In the first year of operations, the company is confident of achieving capacity utilization of 60-70% at the DMC/PC and PG plant.

In addition to commencement of the installed capacity, the company has also started construction in Phase 2 of Greenfield Project (Unit IV) for below 2 plants. The Environmental Clearance for the same has been received well in advance. The company expects to start operations at these state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities around the closure of this current financial year.

Balaji Amines (BAL) incorporated in 1988; is engaged in manufacturing of methylamines, ethylamines, derivatives of specialty chemicals and natural products. The company was set up to cater to the growing requirements of value based Specialty Chemicals.
