Gammon Infrastructure receives completion certificate for Gorakhpur Bypass project

Gammon Infrastructure Projects has been issued the provisional completion certificate (COD) for the project to build a four lane 32.27 km bypass to Gorakhpur Town in Uttar Pradesh on National Highway No 28 on BOT (Annuity) basis. The COD is with effect from March 31, 2012.

The project is being implemented by Gorakhpur Infrastructure Company (GICL), a special purpose vehicle (SPV) promoted by the company. GICL is entitled to receive semi-annual annuities of Rs 48.6 crore each during the concession period of the project. This is the sixth operational road project in the company’s basket.

Gammon Infrastructure is an infrastructure project development company, promoted by GIL, one of the largest construction companies in India. GIPL undertakes the development of infrastructure projects on a public-private partnership basis, having presence in project development, project advisory and sector-specific operations and maintenance.
