Allahabad Bank’s Q3 net tumbles 45%

Allahabad Bank has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2012.

The bank has reported 44.54% fall in its net profit at Rs 310.83 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 560.43 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank has increased by 12.32% at Rs 4785.34 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 4260.28 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011.

The bank’s gross NPA for the December 31, 2012 quarter of the current fiscal stood at 2.91%, higher as compared to 1.86% in the same quarter of the previous year. However, bank’s Net NPA remained higher at 2.06% in the quarter under review as against 0.79% in Q3FY12.
