Bajaj Auto registers 3% jump in January 2013 sales

Bajaj Auto has registered a 3% rise in its total vehicle sales in the month of January 2013 which is the highest ever sales for the company in the month of January. The company has sold 347,624 units in January 2013 as compared to 337,875 units in the same month last year, while the company’s sales from export out of the above stood at 128,482 units, a rise of 10% compared to 116,996 units in January 2012.

The company has sold 46,263 units of Commercial Vehicle (CV) in January 2013, registering gains of 7% as compared to 43,436 in January 2012. Moreover, the total motorcycle sales for the month also surged 2% at 301,361 units from 294,439 units.

Further, for April-January 2013 period, the company’s total sales stood at 3,603,544 units a decline of 2% compared to 3,670,268 units for April-January 2012 period. The exports out of the above stood at 1,310,634 units, a drop of 3% compared to 1,349,406 units over the corresponding period.

Also, the company has sold 404,773 units of Commercial Vehicle in April-January 2013 period, registering decline of 8% as compared to 438,672 over the corresponding period. Moreover, the total motorcycle sales for the same period stood at 3,198,771 units compared to 3,231,596 units, a drop of 1%.
