Asian markets trade mostly higher in early deals on Tuesday

Most of the Asian markets traded higher in early deals on Tuesday, with the accumulation of bets by the participants followed by Fed Vice Chair Lael Brainard’s comments signaling chances for slowing pace of rate hikes. Japan’s Nikkei is trading higher, despite its plunge in the early deals followed by sluggish than anticipated economic data of third quarter. Shanghai also led positive after the investor sentiments improved on the news that Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Joe Biden is meeting in Indonesia.

Nikkei 225 up by 33.45 points or 0.12% to 27,996.92, Straight times rose 13.29 points or 0.41% to 3,274.09, Hang Seng increased by 637.98 points or 3.62% to 18,257.69, Taiwan higher by 350.38 points or 2.47% to 14,525.28, and Shanghai jumped by 39.18 points or 1.27% to 3,122.58.

On flip side, KOSPI declined by 1.14 points or 0.05% to 2,473.51, Jakarta Composite narrowed by 17.03 points or 0.24% to 7,002.36 and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI dipped by 7.12 points or 0.49% to 1,456.88.
