Hindustan Motors reports 73.16% rise in Passenger Vehicle production

Hindustan Motors (HM), the makers of the good old Ambassador car in India, has reported a production of 755 units of Passenger Vehicle in the month of January 2013 a rise of 73.16% compared to 436 units in the same month of the last year. In the Light Commercial Vehicle, the company has reported sales of 34 units in January 2013 as compared to 7 units sold in the month of January 2012.

On domestic sale front, the company sold 727 units in the month of January 2013 as compared to 361 units sold in January 2012 while the company sold 21 units in Light Commercial Vehicle space compared to 5 units sold in January 2012.

Hindustan Motors is India’s pioneering automobile manufacturing company manufactures passenger cars, Multi Utility Vehicles and RTV. It also manufactures passenger cars in the mid size premium segment (Mitsubishi Lancer, Lancer Select, and Lancer Cedia) and has brought the Sports Utility Vehicle (Mitsubishi Pajero) into the Indian market, in collaboration with Mitsubishi Motors of Japan.
