Asian markets trade mostly lower in early deals on Friday

Most of the Asian markets traded lower in early deals on Friday, as the market sentiments got dulled with the persisting inflation, geo-political tensions, lingering recession risks and resurgence in covid cases. Investors sidelined with the lack of fresh triggers as the US market was closed for Thanksgiving Day. Japan’s Nikkei eased on profit taking after a sharp rally driven majorly by bets on less aggressive interest rate hike by Federal Reserve. Moreover, Japanese investors also got saddled after registering of a 40-year high inflation rate of 3.6% in November. Meanwhile, Hang Seng retreated after prior two straight sessional gains, with some profit taking and on growing uncertainties over global economic health

Nikkei 225 down by 108.33 points or 0.38% to 28,274.76, Straight times dipped.94 points or 0.49% to 3,236.94, Hang Seng declined by 152.04 points or 0.86% to 17,508.86, KOSPI deminished by 2.01 points or 0.08% to 2,439.32, Jakarta Composite lower by 45.92 points or 0.65% to 7,034.60, and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI dampened by 18.63 points or 1.24% to 1,483.25.

On flip side, Taiwan lifted by 3.35 points or 0.02% to 14,787.35 and Shanghai up by 12.12 points or 0.39% to 3,101.43.
