Kingfisher Airlines reports net loss of Rs 755.17 crore in Q3

Kingfisher Airlines has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2012.

The company has reported a net loss of Rs 755.17 crore for the quarter as compared to a net loss of Rs 444.26 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company was nil for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1367.71 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011.

The company did not have any operations during the quarter in view of the temporary suspension of its Scheduled Air Operator’s permit by the Director General of Civil Aviation, Government of India (DGCA).

Kingfisher Airlines is one of the leading private players in the Indian aviation industry. Incorporated in 1995 as Deccan Aviation, the company is engaged in the business of providing passenger and helicopter charter services. The name was changed to Kingfisher Airlines in the year 2008.
