PTC India jumps on inking pact with Bhutan's Druk Green Power Corporation to supply 600 MW power

PTC India is currently trading at Rs. 81.20, up by 1.65 points or 2.07% from its previous closing of Rs. 79.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 79.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 82.50 and Rs. 79.00 respectively. So far 70985 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'Z' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 114.75 on 18-Jan-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 67.75 on 21-Oct-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 87.50 and Rs. 77.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2403.59 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 16.22%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 40.71% and 43.07% respectively.

PTC India has entered into an agreement with Bhutan's electricity utility firm Druk Green Power Corporation to supply 600 MW power to the neighbouring country during the winter season.

Moreover, Bhutan has also executed an agreement with the settlement nodal agency for settlement of grid operation related charges. With all requisite approvals, Bhutan will now start procuring up to 600 MW of power through PTC from the Indian power market.

PTC India is principally engaged in trading of power. PTC holds Category I license from Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC), the highest category with permission to trade unlimited volumes.
