Tata Power reports consolidated net loss of Rs 189.36 crore in Q3

Tata Power has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2012.

The company has reported 52.77% fall in its net profit at Rs 216.38 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 458.16 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The total income of the company has decreased by 3.06% at Rs 2580.93 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 2662.34 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011.

On the consolidated basis, the group has reported a net loss of Rs 328.92 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2012 as compared to a net profit of Rs 297.95 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income from operation of the company has increased by 27.19% at Rs 9050.33 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 7115.69 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011.
