Stocks related to the power industry are trading higher, as Coal Secretary Amrit Lal Meena said that the power sector has been supplied more coal than the committed quantity and all-possible measures are being taken to augment the production of dry fuel in the next season also. He noted that the coal ministry has plans to supply more dry fuel to the power sector by March 31 and stressed that all coal companies are producing generally more than their target.
Adani Power is currently trading at Rs. 279.35, up by 5.80 points or 2.12% from its previous closing of Rs. 273.55 on the BSE.
Tata Power Company is currently trading at Rs. 206.30, up by 0.65 points or 0.32% from its previous closing of Rs. 205.65 on the BSE.
Power Grid Corporation of India is currently trading at Rs. 214.15, up by 0.55 points or 0.26% from its previous closing of Rs. 213.60 on the BSE.
