Gail (India) declines on reporting 90% fall in Q3 consolidated net profit

GAIL (India) is currently trading at Rs. 94.05, down by 5.10 points or 5.14% from its previous closing of Rs. 99.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 99.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 99.90 and Rs. 91.80 respectively. So far 1953067 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 115.63 on 19-Apr-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 83.00 on 26-Sep-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 102.80 and Rs. 91.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 64435.98 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.91%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 41.92% and 6.17% respectively.

Gail (India) has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2022 (Q3FY23).

The company has reported a fall of 92.53% in its net profit at Rs 245.73 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 3287.99 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased 36.48% at Rs 36069.28 crore for Q3FY23 as compared to Rs 26427.37 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported fall of 89.54% in its net profit at Rs 397.59 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 3800.09 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased 36.82% at Rs 36389.65 crore for Q3FY23 as compared to Rs 26597.03 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
