Power Grid Corporation of India gains on reporting 11% rise in Q3 consolidated net profit

Power Grid Corporation of India is currently trading at Rs. 218.65, up by 2.30 points or 1.06% from its previous closing of Rs. 216.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 223.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 223.30 and Rs. 216.20 respectively. So far 93388 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 248.25 on 10-May-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 186.35 on 26-Sep-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 223.30 and Rs. 210.65 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 152762.42 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.34%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 45.50% and 3.16% respectively.

Power Grid Corporation of India has reported a rise of 10.52% in its net profit at Rs 3701.72 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2022 as compared to Rs 3349.44 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased 7.86% at Rs 11472.46 crore for Q3FY23 as compared to Rs 10636.56 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported rise of 10.70% in its net profit at Rs 3645.34 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2022 as compared to Rs 3292.97 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased 7.52% at Rs 11530.22 crore for Q3FY23 as compared to Rs 10723.61 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
