Tata Motors moves up on bagging order from Bharat Electronics

Tata Motors is currently trading at Rs. 296.80, up by 0.10 points or 0.03% from its previous closing of Rs. 296.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 288.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 298.40 and Rs. 288.00 respectively. So far 731749 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 337.05 on 10-Jan-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 202.95 on 26-Jul-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 312.00 and Rs. 284.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 79670.98 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.72% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 40.51% and 8.10% respectively.

Tata Motors, country’s largest car vehicle has bagged order from Bharat Electronics (BEL) for 6x6 multi-axle mobility vehicles to mount radar applications for the Indian Air Force. It will supply 26 such vehicles to BEL Bangalore, which will give BEL’s radar system the mobility to be placed strategically, at almost any location, to detect both low-flying aircraft and spy planes or unmanned aerial vehicles.

Automaker is also in the process of delivering 96 specialist tractors for the Indian defence forces Akash missile programme. It offers a full range 6x6, 8x8 and 12x12 multi-purpose high mobility carriers, designed especially for integrating specialist rocket and missile systems.
