City Union Bank surges on the BSE

City Union Bank is currently trading at Rs. 58.40, up by 0.70 points or 1.21% from its previous closing of Rs. 57.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 57.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 58.60 and Rs. 57.50 respectively. So far 15035 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 65.60 on 16-Jan-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 38.77 on 16-May-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 60.50 and Rs. 57.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2992.65 crore.

The Institutions and Non-Institutions held 30.84% and 69.16% stake in the company, respectively.

City Union Bank has inaugurated two new branches in state of Andhra Pradesh on February 15, 2013. The bank has opened first branch at Anakapalli in Visakhapatnam District while the second branch was opened at Tanaku in West Godavari District in Andhra Pradesh state.

The bank reported 3.74% rise in its net profit at Rs 80.42 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 77.52 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank has increased by 29.50% at Rs 596.03 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 460.24 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2011.
