HDFC Bank opens first all-women branch in Varanasi

HDFC Bank has opened its first all-women branch in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The branch, located in the premises of Arya Mahila College, Chetganj, Varanasi will have 5 women bankers. This is the first all-women branch opened by the bank in Uttar Pradesh, India. It takes forward the bank’s values of diversity and inclusion.

HDFC Bank is driving diversity and inclusion within the organization with a special focus on enhancing gender diversity. As on March 31, 2022, women constituted 21.7 per cent of the workforce and the target is to increase it to 25 per cent by 2025.

HDFC Bank is one of India’s premier banks providing a wide range of financial products and services using multiple distribution channels including a pan-India network of branches, ATMs, phone banking, net banking and mobile banking.
