Bosch, the flagship company of the Bosch Group in India, has decided to set up a new manufacturing plant at Bidadi, with an investment of Rs 600 crore. The entity has purchased 97 acres from Karnataka for the construction of the new plant. It aims to complete this work over a period of five years starting 2012-13.
The new plant will be constructed in two phases, between 2012-13 and 2015-16. The production will start by the first quarter of 2014 with transfer of some 1,000 employees. Phase-I will be allocated for production of common rail pump, common rain and glow plugs in the new facility.
