Sona BLW Precision Forgings’ board has approved investment of Rs 52.9 crore for capacity expansion of new plant located at MIDC, Chakan Industrial Area Phase -2, Wasuli, Pune, Maharashtra from 11.8 million gears to 20.1 million gears by financial year 2025.
The new plant is capable of manufacturing gears for EV and Non-EV applications and serve customers globally. New gear capacities will be required to meet the large order book.
