Auto component manufacturer, Bosch’s employees at its Bangalore plant have resorted to an illegal tool down strike from end of first shift of March 07, 2013. The employees have started this strike without giving any prior notice to the management. More than 2,500 workers at the company's plant in Adugodi in Bangalore went on an indefinite strike in protest against the suspension of a worker on March 7.
The company has reported 38.80% fall in its net profit for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2012 at Rs 172.05 crore as compared to Rs 281.14 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income from the operation of the company has increased by 4.50% at Rs 2245.10 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 2148.47 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011.
