SpiceJet celebrates International Women’s day by operating all-women flights

In recognition to International Women’s day, Private carrier SpiceJet operated its first flight by all women-crew. The flight began around 5 am onwards with SpiceJet's Boeing B-737 fleet taking off from Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Bengaluru. Its Bombardier Q-400 fleet of aircrafts flew from New Delhi, Hyderabad and Chennai.

Meanwhile, the all-women flight operations included eight women captains and 27 co-pilots for the Boeing B-737 fleet and three captains and 10 co-pilots for the Bombardier Q-400 fleet.

Presently, the airline enjoys 19.3% market share and operates four daily flights to Dubai from Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Kochi. The airline will also connect Lucknow with New Delhi. The daily flights on the Varanasi-Sharjah and Lucknow- Sharjah will begin from March 7 and March 11, respectively.
