In reference to its earlier intimation dated March 30, 2023, informing about the furnace of GMB Glasmanufaktur Brandenburg GmbH (‘GMB’) undergoing cold repair. Borosil Renewables has informed that the modification and cold repair of the furnace of GMB has been successfully completed and the production has resumed. As a result of the said modification, the life expectancy of the furnace has increased. Further, due to the implementation of certain advanced processes and technologies during the cold repair, the production capacity of GMB has also increased from 300 tonnes per day (‘TPD’) to 350 TPD. In addition to this, the modification is likely to result in substantial savings of energy consumption in the process. It is expected that the furnace will gradually achieve the desired level of output.
