Star Health reports 25% rise in gross direct premium for YTD April 2023

Star Health and Allied Insurance Company has reported 25.03% growth in gross direct premium at Rs 823.3 crore (provisional) for YTD April 2023 as against Rs 658.5 crore for YTD April 2022. Out of the total gross direct premium, Health-Retail premium stood at Rs 749.2 crore (provisional) for YTD April 2023 as compared to Rs 602.3 crore for YTD April 2022, i.e. up by 24%. Health-Group premium and Personal Accident premium stood at Rs 63.1 crore and Rs 10.5 crore (provisional) respectively for YTD April 2023.
