Public sector power producer National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has paid 7.14% more interim dividend of Rs 3,092.06 crore compared with Rs 2,885.92 crore in the previous year. For the Financial Year 2011-12, the company paid an interim dividend of Rs 3.50 per equity share, i.e., 35% of the paid-up equity share capital of the Company amounting to Rs 2,885.92 crore.
With the Government holding 75% stake in NTPC, the latter has paid Rs 231.904 crore to the Government for its share of the dividend.
