BEML has reported results for the quarter and the year ended March 31, 2011.
The company’s net profit for the fourth quarter has declined by 55.34% at Rs 70.25 crore as compared to Rs 157.30 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. Its net sales has decreased by 21.60% at Rs 936.07 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 1194.04 crore in the corresponding previous quarter.
The company has registered fall of 32.80% in its net profit for FY11 at Rs 149.76 crore as compared to Rs 222.85 crore for FY10. Net sales have dipped 7.32% at Rs 2630.37 crore for the year from Rs 2838.24 crore in previous year.
On consolidated basis, the group’s net profit for the year has dropped 34.16% at Rs 147.80 crore as compared to Rs 224.49 crore for the year ended March 31, 2010. Net sales for the year has decreased by 7.32% at 2630.38 crore as compared to Rs 2838.25 crore for the previous year.
BEML has recommended a dividend of Rs 10 per share or 100% on the paid up share capital of the company for the year 2010-11.
