Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) has reported results for the Half Year ended September 30, 2012.
The company has reported 42.32% rise in its net profit at Rs 1830.63 crore as compared to Rs 1286.24 crore for the same period in the previous year. Total income from operation of the company has increased by 29.61% at Rs 6406.39 crore for the period under review as against Rs 4942.93 crore for the Half Year ended September 30, 2011.
REC is engaged in providing financial assistance to state electricity boards, state government departments and rural electric co-operatives for rural electrification projects as are sponsored by them.
